Meet Copper!

Copper is an 8 year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can enjoy his golden years while continuing to learn and grow. Don't let his age fool you-Copper still has plenty of personality and the classic GSP enthusiasm for life!

Copper will need an adopter who is willing to work with him on basic manners and house training. He would benefit from someone who understands that training an adult dog takes consistency, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. German Shorthaired Pointers are intelligent, active dogs who tend to thrive when they have structure, exercise, and something to keep their minds busy.

Copper also has a history of lick granulomas caused by excessive licking of himself. His future family should be prepared to monitor his skin and licking habits and stay on top of any veterinary care or recommendations to help keep him comfortable.
