Meet Charlie!

Charlie is a 1-year-old neutered male Great Pyrenees mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves people and is happiest when he's spending time with his humans. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to be part of the action, Charlie is looking for an active family that can help him become the best companion he can be.

As a young dog, Charlie is full of energy and still has some learning to do. He is working on his leash skills and basic manners, so his new family should be prepared to continue his training using positive, consistent reinforcement. With patience and structure, Charlie has all the potential to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.

Charlie has a high prey drive and is not suited to life as a farm dog or in a home with cats or other small animals. He may be able to live with another dog, but only with a very slow, thoughtful introduction to ensure everyone is comfortable.

Because Charlie is still learning to respect boundaries-and needs his own respected as well-he would do best in a home with older children who understand how to interact appropriately with dogs and can give him space when he needs it.
