From Shelter Stress to Foster Success – Meet Stewie!

Stewie is a sweet boy who has really blossomed in his foster home! He may be nervous and shy when first meeting his new family and will need time and space to feel comfortable, but once he settles in, his big personality shines through.

Stewie is loving, playful, and sometimes a little needy! He loves following his people around, being involved in whatever they're doing, and curling up for pets and head scratches on his own terms. He enjoys watching his foster parents cook, looking out the windows, playing with moving toys, and showing off the occasional zoomie. At night, he likes sleeping at the foot of the bed and would prefer a home where doors are rarely closed. ??

Because Stewie can be sensitive to loud noises, sudden movements, and strangers, he would do best in a quiet home with a patient family experienced with cat behaviour. He'll need time to settle in and a safe space to retreat to when he needs it. He would likely prefer to be the only pet.

Stewie is currently on an anallergenic diet and Prednisolone once daily long-term for IBD which can be purchased through your vet.

He's come such a long way and is ready for a patient family who will give him the time he needs to truly shine

If you are interested in meeting Stewie, please fill out the adoption application at the link below: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/cat-adoption-application/

Staff from the Dartmouth SPCA will be in touch to set up a meeting at their foster home.

Interested in adding this adorable adoptable to your family? We're so excited for you! Please drop by our shelter to meet them in person so we can officially start the adoption process. Online applications alone do not hold animals.
